She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb parents Sarah and Harry Sobol brothers, Bernard and Howard Sobol sister, Cecelia Rubin and son-in- law, Michael Rose. ![]() Mary Ann is survived by her four children, Debbie (Bruce) Lieberman Sarah Rose Charles (Sharon) Rosen, Ruth (Alan) Pearlman eleven grandchildren, Bradley, Stuart, and Alex (Sara) Lieberman, Adam and Danny Rose, Herbie (Ali), Rabbi Joseph, and Robert (Melina) Rosen, Andrea (James) Tropper, and Russell Gabriel Pearlman and four great-granddaughters, Lillian and Roslyn Rosen, Lucy Tropper, and Sydney Lieberman. Mary Ann taught religious school and served along with Herb as an usher at Temple Israel for many years. She was an active member of the Temple Israel Sisterhood, the National Council of Jewish Women, the Hopkins Women's Club, and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society for women educators. Mary Ann resumed her career in education, retiring after a 42-year career at age 84. Mary Ann and Herb enjoyed 55 years together in marriage prior to Herb's death in 2010. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in education and taught at Kenwood Elementary School in Minneapolis before marrying Herb Rosen and moving to Bismarck, North Dakota in 1955. Mary Ann was born in Denver, Colorado to Harry and Sarah Sobol on May 23, 1931. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
